ADDRESS BY MR. GODWIN FIADJOE, INTERIM CHAIRMAN OF THE GHANA-RUSSIA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ON THE OCCASION OF THE FIRST MEETING OF MEMBERS OF THE NEWLY ESNABLISHED GHANA-RUSSIA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BY HIS EXCELLENCY THE AMBASSADOR OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Your Excellency, the Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Ghana, Distinguished Guest, ladies and Gentlemen.
It gives me the greatest of pleasure to address this august gathering. My pleasure derives from the fact that on the one hand, His Excellency the Ambassador has shown tremendous interest in the growth of Ghana-Russia Chamber of Commerce, while the latter, of which I am the Chairman, is showing pride in being part of a mutually beneficial enterprise.
First and foremost, let me take this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to his Excellency, Dr. Orlov, for his continued interest in the newly-established Chamber, and doing everything possible to see to our healthy growth. Sir, we are grateful'.
The Chamber meets regularly and is keen on doing effective business with our Russian counterparts. We are gradually learning a lot and we are convinced that we have a lot to gain from Russia, much as they would have much to gain from us.
We are contemplating paying a working visit to Russia and we expect a reciprocal visit. What we need is the continued support of the Embassy so that our interaction with our counterparts in Russia would be of immense mutual benefit.
This is not time for speeches. I would like to once again thank His Excellency for this meeting and wish him all the best.
It is my hope that the Ghana-Russia Chamber of Commerce has come to stay and will grow from strength to strength.
I am done. Thank you.
