Russian, Angolan Experts Meet in Luanda
An interagency group of Russian experts held talks in Luanda, Angola, on January 28-30 with their Angolan counterparts on the questions of commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries. The Russian delegation incorporated the representatives of various Russian ministries and departments as well as of a number of Russian companies.
In the course of the meeting, which passed in a businesslike and constructive atmosphere, the state of affairs and prospects for cooperation in the oil field, mining, water resource development, air links, communication, fisheries, education and health care were examined in detail.
The talks in Luanda have shown that the sides are disposed to step up bilateral cooperation in various fields and to take it to a qualitatively new level. Agreement was reached to hold the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Angolan Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation and Trade in Moscow in the third quarter of this year.
