Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Alexeyev Meets with the Nigerian President's National Security Adviser Aliyu Mohammed Gusau

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Alexeyev on December 22 received the visiting National Security Adviser to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Aliyu Mohammed Gusau, who conveyed a message from President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

During the conversation, the sides discussed a number of questions pertaining to Russian-Nigerian relations and reaffirmed their mutual interest in developing them further.

When exchanging views on the situation in Africa, they noted the identity of the two countries' approaches to the political settlement of conflicts and crises situations in this region of the world.
