Exchange of Messages on Occasion of 40th Anniversary of Establishment of Relations Between Russia and Zambia

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary on October 30 of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and Zambia, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the two countries exchanged congratulatory messages.

Sergey Lavrov's telegram to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Zambia, Kalombo T. Mwansa, notes with satisfaction the ongoing development of the Russian-Zambian dialogue on the topical problems of today, and mutual desire to realize more fully the potential of bilateral cooperation in various fields.

The congratulatory message of Mwansa, in its turn, stresses that Zambia highly values the warm relations between our countries, characterized by a spirit of strong friendship and partnership, and expresses the Zambian side's intention to continue to cooperate with Russia both at the bilateral and at the international level.
