Putin bans Russian sales, delivery of arms to non-governmental Sudan organizations

MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree that restricts arms supplies to war-torn Sudan, in line with a UN Security Council resolution passed on July 30, 2004.

The decree prohibits sale or delivery of armaments and money to non governmental organizations, including the Janjaweed armed groups in Western Sudan believed to be responsible for indiscriminate killings.
