Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Saltanov Meets with Burundi Ambassador to Moscow Emmanuel Tungamwese

On October 9 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Saltanov received the new Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi to Moscow, Emmanuel Tungamwese, who presented copies of his credentials.

During the talk, the sides noted the similarity of the two countries' approaches to pressing international and regional problems as a basis for building up their foreign policy coordination. Russia's preparedness was also expressed to assist the efforts being made by the UN and African states to normalize the situation in Burundi. Mutual desire was confirmed to deepen Russian-Burundi relations.

Saltanov wished Tungamwese success in accomplishing his mission in Moscow.
