Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Saltanov Meets with Kenyan Ambassador to Moscow Matthew K. M' Ithiri

    On December 15 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Saltanov received Matthew K. M' Ithiri, Kenya's newly appointed ambassador to Moscow, who presented copies of his credentials.

    During the talk, the sides noted the similarity of the two countries' approaches to pressing international problems, which creates favorable prerequisites for the building up of their foreign policy coordination. They reiterated their mutual desire to deepen Russian-Kenyan relations and stressed the importance of expanding trade-and-economic cooperation between Russia and Kenya.

    Saltanov and M'Ithiri spoke in favor of intensifying and closely coordinating the efforts of the world community in the struggle against international terrorism. Deeply-felt condolences were expressed on the Russian side in connection with the recent terrorist acts in Mombassa.
