PRESS RELEASE
On Plane Crash in Central African Republic

    1388-05-07-2002

    A Boeing-707 transport plane of Rwanda's Prestige Airlines crashed on July 4 around 11:00 a.m. in an emergency landing in the Bangui airport area. It had been performing a flight on the Ndjamena-Brazzaville route.

    The Russian side expresses condolences over the deaths of 29 people, including 9 Bangui residents.

    There are no Russian citizens among the victims, according to a report of the Russian embassy in the Central African Republic.
