Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Saltanov Meets with Tanzanian Ambassador to Moscow Patrick Chokala

     Alexander Saltanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, on June 26 received Patrick Chokala, the newly appointed ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to Moscow, who presented the copies of his letters of credence.

    During the talk that took place, a number of questions relating to bilateral cooperation and international life were touched upon. Saltanov and Chokala reaffirmed the mutual interest of the two countries in further developing and strengthening the mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields. The necessity of exerting joint efforts for the purpose of making more productive use of the available potential for fostering a constructive partnership and searching for new areas of Russian-Tanzanian collaboration was underscored.

    Saltanov expressed his deeply-felt condolences to the kith and kin of the victims of the Tanzania train crash that had occurred on June 24.

    The talk passed in a friendly atmosphere.
