On the Situation in Guinea-Bissau

The situation in the Republic of Guinea-Bissau (RGB) after the military coup that took place on September 14 remains relatively calm. The curfew has been lifted and the international airport of the capital opened.

There is no danger to the Russian citizens staying in that country at present, the embassy of Russia in the RGB said.

Moscow is closely following the developments in Guinea-Bissau and believes there should be a steady advancement of the political process and the restoration of constitutional and democratic order.
